eRS 2.0 is the second generation of our eRS integration. It introduces bilateral message flows, allowing GP Practices to use eRS to send requests while Specialists continue usingCinapsis to review A&G and RAS cases. This seamless flow ensures clinicians can use their preferred system without manual workarounds while maintaining efficient case management.
Alternatively, GP Practices and other requesters can continue to use Cinapsis, just as they always have.
This enhancement isn’t about replacing what worked before - it’s about giving GPs choice and ensuring they can access specialist advice in the way that best fits their practice.
eRS 2.0 introduces a smarter, more connected way for GPs to access A&G by integrating Cinapsis directly to eRS. Previously, GPs had to switch from eRS to Cinapsis to start an Advice & Guidance case, but now they can initiate a case within eRS itself, reducing workflow interruptions.
GPs and admin teams can continue adding requests to eRS as usual. These requests are then imported into Cinapsis, using our new integration, allowing Specialists to review all cases - whether initiated from within Cinapsis or eRS - from a single list.
When a Specialist responds, eRS is updated to inform the requestor of the outcome, including cases requiring further management by them or other services. This ensures seamless data transfer between existing systems and keeps all parties involved in the patient's care informed of the outcome.
The introduction of eRS 2.0 means that Advice & Guidance is now simpler, smarter, and fully embedded into primary care workflows.
