Supporting practices, PCNs, ICBs and Trusts through COVID-19

Through the pandemic, we provided healthcare workers with a means to keep their services going. Despite lockdown restrictions and ever-changing guidelines, Cinapsis helped frontline staff stay in touch with patients with confidence.

How we supported COVID-19 recovery

We gave GPs, paramedics and NHS workers immediate access to specialist advice with their own devices.

This enabled frontline workers to move quickly and confidently, and make use of tech they already had.

We kept vulnerable patients out of hospital and surgery using virtual consultations.

This resulted in a 70% reduction in face-to-face appointments in outpatient services.

We provided access for GPs, paramedics, and NHS 111 call handlers to a national network of approved specialists.

Non-urgent ED attendances were dramatically reduced. Patient flow improved in areas that had limited or no specialist coverage.

We gave clinical staff the confidence to keep their patients safe during a national crisis.

Our network of specialists gave clinicians the reassurance they needed to refer patients to community services, keeping vulnerable people out of hospitals when infection rates were soaring.

Cinapsis was really handy during Covid when we didn't know much about this disease and we were bombarded with update after update after update... It was fantastic to have that direct contact with the hospital and get assurance that what we were doing was in keeping with best practice.

With Covid, we're trying to keep patients away from surgery. Cinapsis automatically generates the referral letter for the GP and hospital so the patient doesn't need to come in the surgery to collect it.
